I've been readying this book and it has some really good points. Be a PC (patient and consistent/conscious) parent. Follow the E.A.S.Y routine; E- eat, A- activity, S- sleep, and Y- you time. That's all I've read about so far only the intro and the first chapter. It also has this list about ?'s to ask when you are first learning why is my baby crying: 1- Is it time for feeding?(hunger cry) 2- Is her diaper wet/soiled? (discomfort or cold cry) 3- Has she been sitting in the same place or position w/out a change of scene? (boredom cry) 4- Has she been up for more the 20 min? (overtired cry) 5- Has she had lots of company / has there been a lot of activity in your household? (overstimulated cry) 6- Is she grimacing and pulling her legs up? (gassy cry) 7- Is she crying inconsolably during /as much as an hour after feeding? (reflux- burping cry) 8- Is she spitting up? (reflux cry) 9- Is her room to hot/cold or is she under / overdressed? (body temperature cry) She even gives you and ideal day for a baby under 6 weeks. Every baby is different so it's just an idea but it sounds like a typical baby day to me. And being a first time mommy it's nice to see a idea day that might be ahead. So far I like the book.
Thanks Om's for suggesting it!
